Apprentice Electrician 

Regina, Saskatchewan

We are looking for an Apprentice Electrician in Regina, with minimum 1-3 years’ experience preferably with industrial experience to provide support to the electrical service aspects of our business.
 
Responsibilities:

By joining our team, your duties will be focused primarily on the technical side of electrical installation and will include, but are not limited to:
  • High voltage terminations;
  • PLC & control wiring;
  • Power distribution and generation.
  • Cable tray and raceway installation
  • Power and control cable installation and termination.
  • Lighting and fire alarm installation.
 Qualifications:
  • Minimum 1-3 year's Apprentice Electrician Experience.
  • Current Valid Driver’s Licence & Driver’s Abstract required.
  • Ability to thrive in a minimal supervision environment
  • Ability to pay careful attention to detail.
  • Motivated self-starter.
  • Ability to multi-task and work under pressure with tight time constraints.

Accounts Payable Clerk

Saskatoon, Saskatchewan

Dynamo Electric is one of Western Canada's fastest growing engineering, design-build construction, testing and electrical maintenance service companies and is seeking an experienced Accounts Payable Clerk. The successful candidate will be a motivated, adaptable person who wants to continually learn and build on their skills as part of an ever-expanding company. This position will work under general supervision; however, the ideal candidate will be able to work independently and possess the ability to rely on their experience and judgment to plan and accomplish their workload on a day-to-day basis.  The ideal candidate will enjoy a variety of tasks, be highly organized and possess a keen attention to detail and accuracy.

Administration:
  • Organize and store paperwork, documents.
  • All filing and associated record keeping and archiving.
Accounting – Accounts Payable (A/P):
  • Entering and attaching vendor bills received into accounting system.
  • Manage & monitor vendor bill approvals, rejections, and code changes.
  • Credit card reconciliation.
  • Continually liaison with the Project Managers on vendor bill approvals, cost allocations and purchase orders.
  • Reconcile vendor bills received/paid with vendor statements.
  • Assist with vendor bill payments.
  • Collaborate with vendors to obtain missing invoices and credit memos.
  • Respond promptly to vendor inquiries concerning past due payments.
  • Monitor and review WCB Saskatchewan Subcontractor Clearance verification.
PO System:
  • Monitor PO dollar values (original vs used).
  • Review PO’s where vendor bills are not received.
  • Monitor PO’s for closing procedure.
Qualifications:
  • A Diploma or Certificate in accounting administration, business administration or office administration from a recognized teaching institution.
  • 3 plus years of active experience within an Accounts Payable department, preferably in an Electrical services, Technical services, or Engineering office environment.
  • Proven and proficient use of automated accounting software – Vista Viewpoint or SAP ERP style system would be an asset.
  • Must be proficient in use of MS office suite – particularly spreadsheet and database programs.
  • Ability to maintain high level of accuracy and confidentiality concerning financial and client files.
  • Excellent organizational skills, good verbal, and written communication skills.

Technical Services Specialist

Winnipeg, Manitoba
Dynamo Electric is one of Western Canada's fastest growing engineering, construction and technical service companies. We are seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer or Electrical Engineering Technologist to further develop our Manitoba operations.

As a leader in providing design-build projects, maintenance services and technical solutions for industrial and utility clients in Western Canada, our goal is to build strong working relationships with key clients by providing a high level of customer service.  This unique opportunity is perfect for the individuals driven to make a difference and wanting to shape the future and goals of a new service team. 

Joining our team will mean taking a visible role with new and existing clients in Manitoba.  You will also be expected to help develop and support the engineering and electrical construction elements of our organization.  This will involve quoting, in-house design and study functions, as well as field-orientated project construction, commissioning, preventative maintenance and testing assignments.

Some of your responsibilities may include:
  • Developing and managing key client relationships.
  • Provide leadership to the Winnipeg Office
  • Develop a team of top performers and future leaders in the organization.
  • Ensures key financial targets for Winnipeg Office are met by managing expenses and monitoring revenues.
  • Ensuring all key performance indicator targets for Winnipeg Office are met or exceeded.
  • Ensure compliance with and identifying opportunities to enhance safety and training.
  • Scheduling manpower and equipment for multiple projects.
  • Design, inspect, commission, test, maintain and repair electrical power and control systems; generators, transformers, breakers, protection relays and other equipment.
  • Provide technical services and support to internal/external customers.

  • Writing quotes, proposals and technical reports related to studies or service calls.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or technologist and affiliation with a professional organization (A.Sc.T., P. Eng., C.E.T, or equivalent).
  • Experience in a maintenance, design-build, manufacturing, construction, or utilities company with significant experience managing technical projects will be considered a strong asset.
  • Strong communicator who can enhance performance through open dialogue.
  • Demonstrated ability to forge strong relationships with team, corporate departments, key business partners and customers.
  • Proven ability as a mentor who can lead cross-functional teams dedicated to achieving strategic goals, including quality control, customer satisfaction and on-time performance.
  • Must be organized, self-motivated, accurate and possess the ability to meet sudden deadlines.
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Power Point and Outlook).
